Old Guy Practice

Not caring means I can be happy. Yesterday morning my wife asked me to join her in dropping off the kids at school. So I agreed- with concessions.

I had to go in my pajamas. And housecoat. Screw getting dressed. Days off are made for not giving a sh*t. But it was a cold winter morning…

So I needed to bring a crochet blanket to stay warm. This was my moment to feel elderly and comfortable. Maybe in the future one of our children will be driving me to an appointment. I’ll be old and heading to a doctor appointment or something…

This vision of dad in a housecoat with a handmade crochet blanket is intended to create Deja Vu. You know, old people have it down pat. Be comfortable and stay warm.

Yesterday was one of my practice runs. I’m starting to enjoy it. I can’t wait for senior’s breakfast deals at the local Co-Op.
