Another awesome numerical day. And on a Tuesday! A literal Twos day. I even set my blog to post at 2:22 today, because reasons.
Calendar dates like this make me happy. I have mentioned them in the past. Including last February being a perfect square pattern on the calendar.

At 7:58 today the Winter Solstice occurred. Officially it is the darkest day of the year with the least amount of sunlight. After today, the daylight peaks out more and more until the Summer Solstice.
Every year, we have a Winter Solstice Party. This year it is being limited to a select few friends. Mostly because of lockdown procedures requested by the government to curb the spread of Covid-19. But having a party on a Tuesday is different as well.
My wife and I use Tuesday as a special day throughout our lives. We were married on a Tuesday. Our son was born on a Tuesday (not much choice there mind you) and we bought our dream home on a Tuesday. The Winter Solstice falling on a Tuesday is great. Not everyone wants to hang out at the start of the week. So it makes it extra special being around those who do make an effort.
As much as I love Winter Solstice and feel it is a worthy celebration, my wife has requested that we have a Summer Solstice party in 2022. That just so happens to fall on Tuesday June 22. It’s as if the universe is telling us something.
