Christmas Eve Dinner Made by Our Son

Yesterday I was working during the day. But I was home for dinner. Our son took on the role of making the main part of dinner for the family on Christmas Eve.

My wife and I have taught our kids how to cook over the years. Our youngest enjoys making food for us on occasion and steps up to learn more often than the others. Last night, he prepared the pork for schnitzel from start to finish. I gave him some directions on how to do them, but he still had to make it all himself.

He did a great job making a fantastic schnitzel. It seems I have passed on my father’s skills onto my son. My dad would’ve been proud of our Christmas Eve dinner.

A big shoutout to my wife who made a great potato salad as the dinner’s side. She also made liver ball soup with the help of our middle child. This dinner was the one I grew up having every Christmas. Tradition is being passed on to our kids. As well as the recipes.

It’s moments like this that I am really proud of our kids. They really are great people. I think my wife and I have done a darn good job teaching them values.

Merry Christmas Everyone!
